Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Zambia 2012 Drama studios will all be re-opening next week.

We offer classes in the following locations at the following times;

Homenet office Complex on Thabo Mbeki Rd;
Tuesday 14:30 to 15:00: Kindy program 3-5 years (Starter Course)
Saturday 10:00-11:00: Lower Primary 5-8 years (Foundation Course)
Saturday 11:15-12:15: Upper Primary 9-12 years (Intermediate Course)
Thursday 18:00-19:00: Adults 19+ (Specialist course)

Heritage Trails in Kabulonga;
Tuesday 14:30 to 15:30 composite class 5-12 years
Tuesday 15:30 to 16:30 Youth Theatre 13 to 18 years

'Pirate Joe'

This short little play is set on a Pirate ship who has a MEAN captain named Joe.

The children love dressing up as pirates but most of ALL they love to Act like pirates.

The Helen O'Grady Drama academy is one of Lusaka's only Drama School's, which offers affordable lessons. The Academy gets their detailed Curriculums from the U.K which offer classes for anyone aged from 3 up to 18 year olds.

Our third term will be opening it's doors again in the first week of May, hopefully we'll see you and your child at our first lesson back!

Our Drama academy is all about improvising with not much spent on costumes,sets etc.

It our parent's day at one of our studios where we showed off a small MIME to MUSIC called the Tropical storm. Zambia may be a Land Locked country and I do have never seen the beach besides T.V, but storms.......is a very Dramatic part of lifes here, even now when I'm typing there's one outside right NOW.

The drama academy closed for a week over half term. However, vice principal/teacher, Carlyn never goes far from the opportunity to have fun, act and dress up. The Halloween ball, held at the intercontinental hotel, raising funds for kasisi orphange was a great success. Carlyn went as a ragdoll with a touch of fear, a great night was had by all. And now she s off to american school to share her love of drama with the children.
